The Diocese of Palm Beach Office of Catholic Schools closely monitors any tropical disturbances and inclement weather. During this hurricane season, and as always, the safety of our Diocese of Palm Beach school faculty, staff and students is a top priority.
Please remember that when emergency conditions have been declared by a county, such as severe weather conditions (hurricanes, tornadoes, floods), schools may be closed. Unless they are informed otherwise, diocesan schools follow the decisions of the respective county's public school system. Schools in Palm Beach, Indian River, Martin and St. Lucie Counties will continue to follow this process. This does not pertain to Hope Rural School or Rosarian Academy, as they are independent Catholic schools.
Please note that when the school is closed, all student activities on campus are suspended. Follow your school’s website announcements and social media sites as to when school could be closed and again re-open. Please know that the schools will resume as soon as it is deemed safe for students and employees to return, and that it has been verified that road conditions are safe for traveling.
The decisions as to school activity cancellations and closures are made using sound judgment and information obtained from the Emergency Operation Center. We pray for the safety of our families, staff and community.
